Tesamorelin vs CJC-1295

Both are analogues of the same endogenous hormone. They differ in how much of that hormone they reproduce and how they are protected from breakdown.

The difference in one sentence

Tesamorelin reproduces the full GHRH molecule (44 amino acids); CJC-1295 is built on its active fragment (the first 29). Both are GHRH analogues — same class, different size.

Two strategies

Tesamorelin keeps the full length and adds a modification at the N-terminus that protects the molecule against rapid enzymatic breakdown.

CJC-1295 goes the other way: start from the short active fragment and substitute several amino acids to make it more stable. The DAC variant (Drug Affinity Complex) additionally binds albumin, extending circulation time; the non-DAC variant does not.

Why a blend with ipamorelin is something else

Ipamorelin is not a GHRH analogue but a GHRP: it acts through the ghrelin receptor, a different point of action. A blend of CJC-1295 and ipamorelin therefore combines two distinct mechanisms in one vial. That is why the combination is offered as its own product rather than a variant of either.
